“I will be with You”
Whatever the trial, hardship, or fear of persecution as our world rushes headlong into these last days, don’t forget that our Lord has promised to be with you.
The final words recorded by Jesus in the gospel of Matthew are “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).
When Moses was doubting his calling to confront Pharaoh, God said to him, “I will be with you” (Exodus 3:12 ESV)
When Joshua took over after Moses, the Lord said to him, “Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you” (Joshua 1:5 ESV).
Paul told the Philippian believers “the God of peace shall be with you” (Philippians 4:9).
And, the verse I couldn’t find today in regard to the promise of the Holy Spirit, is in John 14:16-17 when Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would be with us “forever” and that he would “dwell with us” and “be in us.”
Let’s rest in the great hope that whatever we will face in these end-times or in the circumstances of daily life, our Lord has promised to be with us.
