Trust the Lord
“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him” — Nahum 1:7 NIV
Some have rejected the Lord, mostly because they have been taught to by their upbringing, so they don’t trust in Him in their daily lives. When troubles come and no one cares they blame the very God they have rejected. They have kept the Lord at arms length and wonder why He seems distant.
To those who have put their trust in the Lord, they find that God is good and a place of refuge when troubles come in like a flood. Trusting in God begins when we recognize His true character and reject Satan’s attempt to paint Him as an uncaring unaffected uninvolved deity. The world may tell you that your troubles are because of God’s disinterest but the fact is that Satan has sown evil, but God is working to redeem us for a world made new.
The fields will flourish with wheat and tares until the day that God’s plan of redemption is complete and Jesus returns to separate the sheep from the goats. Until that day, put your trust in the Lord and you’ll grow in your relationship with Him, knowing He is good and a refuge for all that concerns you.
