ABC’s of Prayer
Don’t settle for for a mediocre prayer life. If you will commit to praying with the very promises of God in your prayers, you will experience a breakthrough that will move heaven to answer in a fulfilling way. Here is a three point guide for praying with God’s Bible promises, using the letters ABC…
Ask – Begin by actually asking God for the solution, to help, to bring about His glory in the situation or need of your life.
Matthew 7:7-8 says “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened” (ESV).
Believe – After you ask, stop rehearsing the problem and start exercising faith in God by believing He is will answer according to His will, wisdom, and way.
Mark 11:22-24 says “And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (ESV).
Claim – When you ask and believe, you then claim, according the example of Jesus, through thanksgiving that God has promised in His word to answer.
John 11:41-42 says “So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me” (ESV).
