Spiritual Support

Not everyone has a relationship with a church or a clergy person, and that can impose some challenges when one comes to the end of their life.

Spiritual Support speaks to a holistic approach in caring for the human spirit just as we do for the body and the mind. We recognize the whole person as three interactive dimensions of body, mind, and spirit.

A physician may help you care for your body, a psychologist may help you care for your mind, but who is caring for your spirit?

When the spiritual component is ignored or distressed we usually struggle with purpose in day to day living, fear for life transitions, and an inability to cope in trying circumstances. On the other hand, when spiritual wellness is tended-to and nurtured, we can have a reservoir of spiritual strength to draw from in difficulties and stressful challenges.

As a chaplain my ministry is providing spiritual care that encourages patients to draw from their personal faith, discover applicable ways to cope with the stress of their health condition, and find peace with themselves, others, and with God so they can look toward to their future without fear.
