Grief Support Playlist
If you do a music app or some type of music download service that allows you to build a playlist, consider building one that will support your grief journey.
Music can be therapeutic and having a playlist like this can help you grieve appropriately. Yes, listening to some of these songs will bring a tear to your eye but they’ll also help you along in the grieving process.
Music also has a way of reinforcing memories. I once knew a widow who compiled a playlist of her deceased husband’s favorite songs and she found comfort in listening to these songs because she said they kept his memory close to her thoughts.
I am a Spotify user and I put together a “Grief Support Playlist” that I wish to share with you in hopes that it may encourage you to do the same. Music is a powerful tool in helping us handle and deal with emotions and memories. Here is my playlist of 58 songs by title and artist:
